Thoughts From Pastor Hathaway

When you begin to think about God and how He loves His creation, you have to think about the church and how it affects the world. Most of the time the church has no effect on the world. Many "Christians" never affect the world in which they live. Jesus said "The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few..." (Luke 10:2). He was showing the disciples that there is a great need in meeting the needs of the world. That need is even greater today as we face the imminent second coming of Jesus. Jesus told us to "begin in our Jerusalem." He wants us as His children to begin to reach those that are closest to us, our family, work companions, friends and neighbors (that one that has a need). We may not be able to reach those around the world, but there are those within our reach that can be reached. Why not make a commitment today to reach someone for Jesus. Those around you are hurting, looking and longing for someone to just show them the way. Let that someone be you.
